This is where it all started. My great-grandchildren inspired me to write, record and produce my first talking story and the rest as they say is history!

I am looking at new ways for you to read the stories, maybe we can put complete stories on for you> As soon as I know you'll know

This is a web site full of stories funny ones, sad ones exciting stories that keep you guessing. The story tellers of old used to wander round the country telling story's for their supper.By the flickering light of the open fires they weaved their magic. Mixing legands myths with their own brand of imagination. Can we modern storytellers stand the test of time? Well only time will tell for time is the best storyteller of all.

I usually read modern murder books and I can’t remember what made me purchase my first ‘Du Maurier’ book as I have gone on to read all her other ones, but his one has remained my favourite. It does remind me a little of another favourite of mine ‘Jane Eyre’ as both stories end with a devastating fire.

I have the original black & white film on DVD and have seen it on the Lyceum. It is a tale of secrets which the best stories are as they keep the reader turning the pages wanting to know….!

It is a book I have read a few times and always enjoy it, I would also recommend ‘My cousin Rachel’ by the same author.

Joe and Sydney, a great story for children aged 7 upwards,(and that includes adults!). I have just finished reading Joe and Sydney. It is a wonderful story which mixes reality and fantasy and is so easy and captivating to read I finished it in one sitting, even though it is 108 pages long. It is a charming tale which invites children to join in the adventures of a boy and a lion who has been locked away and forgotten for many years. It is written with warmth and humour and is full of good solid old-fashioned values but is, at the same time. bang up to date with current issues, like saving the planet. The best of both worlds! The aspect of the book which I like best is that it appeals to both children and adults alike so can be read by families together. It can be interpreted on different levels - i.e. as just a good yarn for the younger reader or for the older more discerning ones there are a whole array of common sense ideas on how to get on with people and get the best out of life. An impressive first effort from new author Diana Stimely. From Anne Barr,( mum, auntie, granny, former childminder and teacher).

I have read your book Joe and Sydney Detectives of the Universe and it was a page turner. I could not put it down. It was exciting, imaginative and descriptive. I adore the idea of a talking lion that can change shape and travel. Your book has inspired me and I am now going to read some of your other books. Joe and Sydney is a spectacular book and I hope there is another book to followit.

Although I'm not a keen reader I found that once I started reading I couldn't put Joe and Sydney down. Maybe it was because they were nice short chapters ( I coudn't lose my concentration, but I was hooked. I was very impressed so at the age of 30 even adults can enjoy this lovely story
